Lilypad City (LPC) is a major settlement within the Betacraft server. Established on October 25th, 2023, the city was created as a place for creative freedom and collaboration without the constraints of an overarching theme or strict guidelines. Lilypad is one of the more secluded cities on the server, as it is located northwest of the spawn area away from any other developed areas at approximately X:-2000 Z:-4500. The city has 3 mayors: TheBrick517, Andromeda_713, and yuncle. Each mayor has the power to determine what is and is not suitable for the city. The entire city area is broken up into multiple sections, each one consisting of different design language and contributors. Currently, Lilypad City is made up of 9 different sections:
Oldest area of LPC. Often also referred to as the "Main Island" or "Spawn Island" as it is the location of the city's warp area. This area contains the most amount of builds, and has some of the largest structures in the city. Dozens of former and current city members have contributed to this area of the city, and it continues to grow and expand years after its initial settlement.
Second oldest area of the city. Initially a tree farming area, this island is one of the smallest areas in the city, and has seen very slow growth throughout the years. It is mostly known by the large frog in the center of it - a symbol of Lilypad City - which was made by ufa2 in 2024. The island was later expanded by yuncle in 2025, and has seen a few new builds since.
A pair of long islands in the west side of the city, this area is mostly known for being home to Lilypad Palace. It is similar to Dandelion Island as it has grown at a slower pace. In 2024, The eastern island was terraformed greatly, turning it into a flat area fit for building large structures.
Konrad Peninsula is one of the most impressive and well developed areas of LPC. Established in 2024 by a user named Konradvangoso, the area was originally a small landmass inhabited by one user, but thanks to efforts by yuncle and Bread1862 the area was transformed into a city street with many houses, churches, and notable landmarks. Many others have contributed since, and it continues to grow and evolve.
Iaspis was an unofficial section of LPC that was originally outside of the claim area. It was started as collective for users who wanted to join the city but could not due to mayoral inactivity. In 2025, it was officially declared as part of Lilypad and all users associated with it were added to the city. It has seen little development since, and remains dormant.
The Mainland is a large landmass that is located south of Rose Island. For about a year, it remained an untouched area and contained no player made structures until 2026, when a classic-style village was made within the area. It is considered dormant as of 2026.
This is the smallest area of LPC. It was originally a small sand island, but was later terraformed by TheBrick517 to be much larger. The island was established as a seperate area as a tribute to the original mayor, Andromeda_713, and currently only contains one build made by them.
One of the largest areas in the city, Twisted Timbers is the southmost area of LPC. It is best known for its beautiful player-made environment, and has many builds from well-known server players. It is much more secluded than the other areas, giving it a natural and unique feel.
A dormant area in the far north of the city, Kajtolak & Abednarek was an area that was originally separate from LPC, but was annexed in 2025 as an effort to preserve the structures in that area. It was named after the two most active members within the area. While it is a part of the city, there are no physical connections to this area, and does not have any new development.
