Detailed rules

There are a number of unspoken rules on the server that you might want to know.

1. The right to annex

Every significantly sized settlement can decide to annex builds of other players in the settlement's immediate vicinity (e.g. 100 blocks from the nearest established building, or from the claim border).

Please make yourself aware of your surroundings before you pick a place to settle. If you happen to build on someone's land, or its immediate vicinity, you are likely to be annexed by them if you haven't asked for permission to settle.

Furthermore, if the land of that person manages to grow towards yours and yours isn't notable enough to be kept (decided by staff), the person can take over it for future developments. This happens most often in case when you stop being active on the server for a significant amount of time (6 months+, or sometimes 1 year+ — duration also decided by staff).

Staff decides whether your land is notable to be kept by various factors. Most importantly by your builds being pretty, impressive, established, then by their usefulness, and lastly by them being a historical landmark important to server's history.
